In August 2003, we spent a week in "Alamo City" while returning from a San Francisco trip.  Every day was over 100 and very humid, so plan your visit for a cooler time.  River Walk has replaced the Alamo as the city's main attraction, and there's numerous day excursions outside the city to consider.  Click on the photo at left and let's head on out!
