St. Augustine

"The Oldest City"

Aug00004_small.jpg (5731 bytes) St. Augustine is easily my favorite Florida city, probably because it is a very walkable city.   I first visited it in the mid-70's and now spend 3-4 long weekends there yearly.

Visits have a predictable routine: an afternoon strolling St. George and the historic district; lunch at the Columbia; dinner on A1A Brewery's balcony, with sweeping views of the bay and fort; and a few hours at the two outlet malls on either side of the main St. Augustine I-95 exit.

Click the old city gates on the left and see why you should visit St. Austine soon!
