I can't imagine not wanting to travel. My first "big trip" was to Hong Kong when I was in elementary school. Since I was living in the Philippines at the time, it was only about a two hour flight to Hong Kong (the closest foreign destination), so in some respect it was not that "big" a trip. But at that age, it was quite exciting to be going to an "exotic" destination where there would be all sorts of new experiences - new sights, new sounds, new tastes. Of course, reality is rarely a match to a child's imagination but that trip produced a continuing travel appetite which has not been satiated after over 30 years. If I'm not planning a trip, then I'm putting together a photo / souvenir album from one. And now, maintaining a web page too! <g> Through this site, you can virtually experience a portion of these travels - either for the first time or relive your own previous trip. |
