Day Weekend Reunion "Dalawa"
The second Columbus Day weekend reunion had its genesis in the wee hours of Sunday morning during the 2001 Columbus Day weekend "Retro" reunion in D.C. Alums enjoyed that reunion so much they decided to have another reunion a year later, this time in Las Vegas. Over 50 alums from the classes of '69 to '79 gathered in Vegas to share the special bond of our time in Manila. No matter how short or long a time we were there, and no matter whether we knew each other then or not, now we are one "barkada" and we're gonna party na! |
| Malacanang Palace opened Friday morning and alums helped themselves to refreshments such as Skyflakes, crackers nuts and champuy while visiting. That evening, a sumptuous Filipino buffet dinner was washed down with 7 cases of San Miguel. Afterwards, a small group of alums saw Cirque du Soleil's show "0" but many alums stayed at the Palace chatting, exclaiming over old Kawayans, and otherwise carrying on. |
