FAQ

(Last updated Sunday, October 30.   icon reflects all updates from initial FAQ. )

Who can attend the reunion?
All alums are welcome to attend!

What cruise line has been selected?
Royal Caribbean
(ship: Majesty of the Seas).
RCCL was used for our '98 Bahamas cruise and we were very pleased, thanks to our
"special connections" with Rick Soldan ('74),
who worked for RCCL, and his wife Sharon, who is a travel agent. Most alums who were on that cruise acclaim it as their favorite mini-reunion.

Why should I register now?
Placing the deposit locks in the cabin rate.

(Port fees & taxes may increase until final payment has been made.)

Why should I register through the reunion group?
If you do not register through us, you will not be part of the reunion group and will not be able to participate in our group benefits, including:

a) open seating at special tables reserved for the group;

b) pasalubong bag of special memorabilia, including a reunion hat and other items; (funded by registration fee)

c) special group functions based on total number of group cabins books; in 1998, we
we had two privatel parties.

What if I register early and then cannot attend for some reason?  9/18
The refund policy is:
prior to final payment - full refund
30 days before sailing - all but $100 per person
8-29 days before sailing - 50 % refund
7 days or less before sailing - no refund

Will you assist me in finding someone to share a cabin with if I don't want to pay the "single" rate?
Yes.  E-mail the webmaster your name and class and all names will be posted on the "Who's Cruising" page as seeking to share a cabin.  If you see the name of someone you may want to share a cabin with, e-mail the webmaster for the contact information.

Why is there a registration fee? 10/30
Although the group will receive certain on-board perks from the cruise line based on total cabins booked, the Manila Club usually charges a registration fee for all reunions to cover certain "extras."  For this reunion, the registration fee covers a "pasalubong" bag of goodies such as a special reunion hat and other items. The registration fee applies to adults only.

I've never been to a reunion before...what should I expect?
Susie Ling's (76) perspective from her first reunion is very insightful.

How do I register?
See the rates and registration information page.

What travel documents will I need? 10/2
Passport is not required but is strongly recommended.  If you will not use a passport as proof of citizenship, please contact Sharon Soldan at the number below or by e-mail.

I still have a question. Who I do contact?
Sharon Soldan should be able to answer most questions about registration, the ship, cruise details, etc. her phone is: 800-270-2639
